Ron,
It took a while but I finally got the photo's processed.
Please find attached four low-res pictures of my rather tidy installation of an AMSOIL BMK-13 Bypass Filter System in a 1998 Honda Civic Hatchback. My oil capacity is now 8 qt.s 3 oz. The engine is an Integra Type R (racing) variant and this car goes like swell. In addition to the engine and oiling system upgrades I have also performed a complete Integra Type R suspension upgrade, plus many other modifications. This car took first at a local Auto Show in 2000, class HR4.
I'm using AMSOIL Series 2000 0w-30 motor oil and also AMSOIL Series 2000 75w-90 Gear Lube. I plan to incorporate more AMSOIL products as the opportunity arises.
Prior to using AMSOIL products I was using MOTUL 300v Power Racing 5w-30 100% synthese (synthetic), one of the other quality synthetic oils.
If you look at the photos you will see next to the BMK-13 a cylindrical aluminum object. That object is an Oil Pressure Accumulator (Accusump by Canton). The accumulator pre-oils the galleries prior to starting. With these hardware improvements and AMSOIL I expect this engine to outlast reciprocating piston technology in general, despite the fact that I sometimes race this car. Most likely the last gasoline car I will ever own.
If you would like hi-res copies of these photos, feel free to contact me.
Thanks for making such great products.
