AMSOIL 15W-40 Heavy Duty Synthetic Diesel and Marine Oil
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL Synthetic Heavy-Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil combines the superior lubricity and performance capabilities of a premium synthetic lubricant with special rust and corrosion inhibitors. AMSOIL Synthetic Heavy-Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil is recommended for engines used in marine applications, as well as diesel engines used in trucks, fleets, mining, earth moving, construction and farm equipment. Other applications include taxi and local delivery fleets with gasoline or diesel engines. With its extended drain intervals, AMSOIL Synthetic Heavy-Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil reduces maintenance costs, downtime and the cost of waste oil disposal.
Provides High Shear Stability Prevents Rust and Corrosion Improves Fuel Economy Resists Oxidation - Reduces Engine Wear Extended Drain Intervals Provides Low Temperature Protection Reduces Oil Consumption and Emissions
Service Life
Diesel engines, fleet vehicle engines and industrial engines: drain oil at intervals up to two times longer than recommended by the engine manufacturer or at six month intervals. Extended drain intervals may be used if they are supported by the findings of used oil analysis.
Personal car and light-truck non-turbocharged gasoline engines and marine craft gasoline engines: drain oil at intervals up to three times longer than those recommended by the engine manufacturer, or one year, whichever comes first.
Non-commercial, turbocharged passenger car gasoline engines: drain oil at intervals up to two times longer than those recommended by the engine manufacturer, or six months, whichever comes first.
High-performance or racing engines: drain oil at intervals determined by the findings of a used oil analysis program.
Motorcycle engines and small four-cycle gasoline engines: use engine manufacturer's oil drain recommendations.
Change AMSOIL Full Flow Oil Filters at 12,500-mile or six-month intervals, whichever comes first, in gasoline engines. In diesel engines change AMSOIL Full-Flow Oil Filter at 7,000 miles or six months, whichever comes first. Change other manufacturers' oil filters at the engine manufacturer's recommended filter change intervals.

The AMSOIL Dahl Fuel Filter/Water Separator
The AMSOIL Dahl Fuel Filter/Water Separator removes water and solid contaminants from fuel before it reaches the fuel pump and injection system.
Water and solid contaminants reduce the effectiveness of fuel's lubricative coating on high precision injection components. If this protection continues to decrease, the results can include wear, erosion, surface pitting and eventual ly loss of pressure.
Many existing fuel filters are not designed to remove significant amounts of water. They are designed to simply filter in only one step. To accomplish this, they must be porous enough to allow a sufficient volume of flow. This limits its filtering ability to between only 10 and 30 microns. Using a tighter media would plug up too quickly and the filter would need frequent element changes.
The AMSOIL Dahl system has none of these shortcomings. Its dual chamber 3-stage fuel filter/water separators provide efficient water separation and contaminant filtration. The unique patented depressurizer cone spreads the flow of the fuel. With more area to flow over, there is greater separation of water and dirt from the fuel.
The AMSOIL Dahl system has less mechanical flow resistance than other separators, because the fuel only changes direction twice. The AMSOIL Dahl system removes virtually 100 percent of the water and most of the solid contaminants in the fuel.
The AMSOIL Dahl system prolongs system life by eliminating pump and injector overhauls caused by water-contaminated fuel. It also reduces downtime spent repairing the fuel pump and injection system. The loss of income from only a few hours of downtime is greater than the cost of an AMSOIL Dahl system.
The AMSOIL Dahl system includes a reverse flow valve that holds the prime in the fuel system by not allowing flow back to the tank during shut down. It also helps eliminate air entrapment because the inlet and outlet ports are at the top of the unit. The fuel changes direction only twice, creating less flow resistance and allowing longer pump and element life.
Most solid contaminants are removed by the depressurizer cone in the bowl before reaching the filter element, which has extra media. These characteristics allow the element to last up to 40,000 miles under normal conditions.
